Most Magical Vacation in Gardner History!

This is the story of our families adventure to Australia for Christmas 2012.
Yes it was an incredibly long flight. I had an extremely chatty neighbor, who was telling me what movies to watch and not watch within the first 30 seconds of our introduction, this was going to be a long flight....and it was.  The kiddo's slept for a good long while, but Abe and I didn't get a minute between us.

Just when you are so tingly from exhaustion you want to crawl out of your own skin...YOUR THERE!!! and it is 2:00pm, so you find a park.

They were all so happy to be in the land down unda!! and at the best park they had ever been to.

They rode the zip line for an hour! Then we got hungry and walked to Darling Harbor ( sight of my parents first meeting) for dinner. To my great surprise Abe ordered the KANGAROO! :( Locals don't eat Kangaroo.

Noelle was so excited to exchange her boring old American money into beautiful Australian money!

Yeah! Aussie cousins!

Circular Quay - Aboriginals!!

We caught a ferry across the harbor to the zoo.

A ferry across the harbor means .... THE OPERA HOUSE!!

Hugh was so sweet to Noah. Mates for life!

You can see the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Opera House

Then we hoped in the little lift to the zoo. Lucy and the girls really hit it off.

Koala's!!!

Snake turtles and a lift from a friend!

School day at the zoo and all the children in their uniforms

The biggest kangaroo ever ..he really looked like a boxer.

We met Uncle Paul and Auntie Sue, Dean and Natalie and their kids, and Lee at Watsons
bay for the most delicious fish and chips.  Chloe got stung by a blue bottle in the water right there, but luckily it wasn't too bad, poor thing!

They haven't changed a bit! Uncle Paul had us all in stitches all night!

THE BEST BREAKY EVA!!!! The hotel breakfast buffet was absolutely lovely!

BONDI BEACH BABES!

AND THE LIFESAVERS Noah and Hunter!

Seriously...there is nowhere more beautiful

Mr. Whippy truck came round and the kids were in heaven

The built in kiddie pool at Bondi is amazing.

We had a lovely lunch at Auntie Robyn's house, her famous meringues and all!!! Michael and Suzie and their kids came by, it was so nice to see them all.  Then Uncle Dick took us on a tour of our old neighborhood~My old high school!!!!!!

Terrigal Bakery!!!!!!!!!!!!

We lived right up the street from here! Terrigal!

Then we were off and our time in Sydney was done.  We went to Melborne and were reunited with Nana, Pa, Auntie Fiona, Uncle Nick, Emily, Lauren and my kids got to meet Great Nana and Great Pa for the first time!!!!!!!

And it was Chloe's FIFTH birthday!!!!!!!!!

Auntie Fiona and the girls made her a beautiful cake, it was a perfect day!

We had a beach house down the road from this lovely beach and hung out there every day!

A true Aussie with his cheese wizzles

This is the last pic we took in Australia.  I think one of the kids took it. Thank you to Uncle Nick and Auntie Fiona for all the beautiful food and wonderful parties you hosted. Thank you to Nana and Pa and Hayley for coming to see us in Melborne.
