Chloe got a time out...

Yes, she had to be tied to the chair...

Naughty bugs....

We went to Julian for apple picking with our friends the Hill family...Harbor (Noelle's friend), Cove (Chloe's friend) and Crew (Noah's buddy)! Natalie's husband is deployed, Abe was out of town and we were feeling adventurous so we took all 6 kids by ourselves for the weekend !!!!! It was super hectic and super fun!!!

We bought the most delicious apple pie we have ever tasted!!!!!!

We picked apples together...

We ate apples together

It was so beautiful...

Noah got new PJ's ..is there anything cuter than a 1 year old in PJ's??!!!

And he got new church clothes just like daddy!

So handsome!

I went for a run so early i watched the moon rise!

Vegas!

Vegas baby! Abe had a work trip to Vegas, so we tagged along! We had really amazing really expensive food and really expensive crappy food. If that makes sense? We played in the pool for hours every day. We ventured out one night after dark to show the kids the "kid friendly" Treasure Island pirate show (which turned out to be a strip dance on a boat) and the "kid friendly" Mirage volcano (which absolutely terrified all our children).  But we had a super duper time all together, and next stop on the Gardner train is...Hawaii!

A new phase of life begins! for all of us!

I can not believe I have a child in Elementary School! Noelle is such a doll. She snuck up on me in the kitchen on her first day of school and said "Yes!!" with the full fist pump and everything. I jumped a little because I wasn't expecting her to be right behind me, "what Noelle?" She responded " oh, haha I'm just es-kited about school today!" and ran off. Hayley came to watch Noah and Chloe and after a very slow morning of twiddling our thumbs waiting for 9:30 to roll around, we were off!

a little twirl on the trapezze before school to calm the ...

...nerves! i can just see the worry in her little face!

Noelle was very excited until we entered the busy classroom.  We sat at a table and made a headband for her with her name on it, and she was very quite.

Then they sat down for the teacher to read them a story. The story was about a mama raccoon kissing the hand of her little raccoon going off to school so that when he got sad he could press his kissed hand to his heart and know his mama loves him.  All the moms standing around started crying and the kids all of a sudden looked nervous and panicky!!!

The next day was her first normal day of school and she was good! A little nervous but excited to see her teacher again

Hanging up her backpack in the late owl spot!
and she was off!

and I followed! hahaha
Aunty Hayley and I got her presents for being so good on her first day of school, and we went to the park and had milkshakes!

The next day was supposed to be friday, but there was a major power outage and school was canceled. So right now it is Monday morning and Noelle is at her second day of school. I am desprately trying to resist the urge to go and check/spy on her! Who is she sitting with at lunch and who is going to take her to the bathroom :( but like Aunty Hayley says, Noelle is more capable than most adults and i should not worry!

FIRSTS AND THE FAIR

I gave Noah his first haircut.  I had three different old ladies question his gender in two days...His hair was almost long enough for pigtails so i don't blame them! Notice the tear. ha ha ha he didn't like it much but he looks SO HANDSOME!!!

First Pavlova since Nana and Grandpa moved to Australia! Cheers!

First real steps! On the beach- how fitting!!! My little beach bum...and speaking of little beach bums...

Noah got his first pair of Australian bathers!!!

His first job " off duty, LIFESAVER"

THE FAIR!!

We actually had the best time we have ever had at the Fair! We got there when it opened so it only cost us $4 to get in!

Noelle lassoed a bull! GREAT PIC huh!?!!!

Chloe did a great job too, but I think she had her eyes closed! yee haw!

Everyone was in such a good mood! Not a cranky one in the bunch!

Cheap ride! 25 cents and the girls thought it was hilarious!

Even though Fair food is Extremely expensive...we had the most delicious German sausage with onions and peppers! SO WORTH IT!

"AAAAW"

Dippin dots and mom and dad shared a funnel cake YUMMMMM~!

The girls really wanted to go on this slide, even Chloe with no hesitation.  When they got to the bottom poor Chloe was as white as a ghost and said " I DON'T EVER WANT TO DO THAT AGAIN!"
We topped off the day with a trip to our favorite place at our favorite time of day! There is nothing like the beach in late summer after dinner!

When we got home we parked out front and I found that our front steps are a great back drop for cute pictures!

LOVE THE GARDNER GANG! Ham, Cheese and Pickle!
